Want to make a difference? Join an organization that has been transforming lives for over 40 years!
Prison Fellowship® trains and inspires churches and communities—inside and outside of prison—to support the restoration of those affected by incarceration. We equip correctional leaders, volunteers, and incarcerated men and women to make prisons more rehabilitative places; we advocate for a more restorative criminal justice system; and we collaborate with churches and local service providers to support former prisoners, their families, and their communities.
What we are looking for:
A driven and team focused Writer Intern to contribute to the marketing and communications team by interviewing, researching, writing, copyediting and proofreading in addition to providing administrative support. This is an exciting opportunity to get a close look at the correctional system through the lens of a faith based non-profit organization. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of basic principles of the Christian faith.
What we offer:
A team oriented, mission driven, supportive environment with cutting edge technology solutions and tremendous opportunity for professional development in an office environment. Internships begin on May 31 and end on August 5, 2022. A minimum commitment of eight weeks is required for this entirely virtual internship.
This is a paid internship at $15.00/hour rate for a 40 hour week.

All of our internship opportunities are offered at $15.00 per hour. Regarding any needs for one's academic requirements to obtain credit for the internship, our staff can coordinate with our interns as needed. Many internships are entirely virtual, and interns will attend staff meetings, ministry gatherings, social activities, and meet with leaders from the various ministry divisions during their time at Prison Fellowship.
Founded by Chuck Colson in 1976, Prison Fellowship has become the world's largest ministry to prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families. We believe that communities can be safer through a more restorative approach to all those affected by crime. We work with prisons, churches, and legislators toward this vision—with an emphasis not on locking bad people up, but on bringing good people home.
If you'd like to join us in this mission of restoration, please consider applying for one of our exciting summer internships—which provide excellent experience for both undergraduate and graduate students. Prison Fellowship offers a professional—working environment within the national office of our Christian ministry located in Lansdowne, Virginia, near Washington, D.C.
