The Benefits Enrollment Specialist is responsible for performing duties related to member enrollment of Individual and Group major medical plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accomplishes daily enrollments including application review, entering applications into system
Obtain missing information for enrollment completion
Finalizes enrollment with carrier
Uploading documents into database and electronically file to members folder
Meet mandatory deadlines
Must be able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
Must be able to multitask
Clear, direct communication skills with internal and external constituents
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representation of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; minimum of two years related experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work from designated office for collaborative/interactive fulfillment of duties; perform telephone and/or computer work for extended periods of time; knowledge of Microsoft office; data entry; availability to work overtime as needed for business purposes.
