Job Description

The Benefits Enrollment Specialist is responsible for performing duties related to member enrollment of Individual and Group major medical plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accomplishes daily enrollments including application review, entering applications into system

  • Obtain missing information for enrollment completion

  • Finalizes enrollment with carrier

  • Uploading documents into database and electronically file to members folder

  • Meet mandatory deadlines

  • Must be able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment

  • Must be able to multitask

  • Clear, direct communication skills with internal and external constituents

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representation of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; minimum of two years related experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work from designated office for collaborative/interactive fulfillment of duties; perform telephone and/or computer work for extended periods of time; knowledge of Microsoft office; data entry; availability to work overtime as needed for business purposes.
