Job Description

Administrative Assistant / Receptionist for Insurance company, hours 8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday.

Essential Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Receive visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately.
  • Answering and forwarding a high volume of incoming phone calls
  • Work well under pressure
  • Receive and sort daily mail
  • Processing and distributing incoming Insurance Leads
  • Perform clerical duties filing, scanning and saving documents to the correct drive/folders, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
  • Maintain tidy and presentable reception area and work station
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; minimum of two years related experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work from designated office for collaborative/interactive fulfillment of duties; perform telephone and/or computer work for extended periods of time; knowledge of Microsoft office; data entry; availability to work overtime as needed for business purposes.
