Purpose Of Job

The Strategy Intern would assist the Strategy division, which is comprised of two teams. The Strategy team identifies future opportunities for Interstate while the Results Delivery Office team plans and executes that on that strategy.

Job Components

Strategy & Competitive Intelligence (CI):

  • Perform market analysis to help identify strategic opportunities for the organization.
  • Translate strategic opportunities into a Strategy roadmap that includes specific actions and activities.

Results Delivery Office (RDO)

  • Assist the RDO team with project schedules and activities, tracking progress and results and project resource allocation.
  • Produce detailed project reports and notifications and support the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) process.
  • Support the Planning and Execution (P&E) process by producing and tracking project metrics, both operational and financial.
  • Support the development and user training and adoption of our project management tool, Smartsheet.

General Internship Responsibilities

  • Attend lunch and learns, development events, and orientation.
  • Participate in community service project with fellow interns.
  • Collaborate on final group project with other interns and present to leadership.


  • Forward-thinking, trustworthy, organized and detail-oriented expert with a learner attitude.
  • Current student - junior or senior standing preferred (pursuing Business Admin, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Market Analytics degrees)
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Command of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Demonstrated organizational and strong communication skills
  • Full-time summer hours (up to 40 hours per week)
